# Configure yum repository to install OBM 2.4.x
## postgresSQL 8.3
#### *Not required anymore with recent CentOS 5.5, 5.6*
We use now postgesSQL 8.3 you can find more information to configure this on [http://yum.pgsqlrpms.org/howtoyum.php](http://yum.pgsqlrpms.org/howtoyum.php).
Use this package to autoinstall pg repository:[http://yum.pgsqlrpms.org/reporpms/repoview/letter_p.group.html](http://yum.pgsqlrpms.org/reporpms/repoview/letter_p.group.html)
rpm -Uvh http://yum.pgsqlrpms.org/reporpms/8.3/pgdg-centos-8.3-7.noarch.rpm
On CentOS. Use the following one for Red Hat
rpm -Uvh http://yum.pgsqlrpms.org/reporpms/8.3/pgdg-redhat-8.3-7.noarch.rpm
:!: Add the following line to the configuration file (/etc/yum.repos.d/pgdg-83-centos.repo) to not use the perl modules for this repo.
exclude=libevent perl*
## EPEL
OBM require EPEL repository: [http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/EPEL](http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/EPEL)
rpm -Uvh http://dl.fedoraproject.org/pub/epel/5/i386/epel-release-5-4.noarch.rpm
or
rpm -Uvh http://dl.fedoraproject.org/pub/epel/5/x86_64/epel-release-5-4.noarch.rpm
for a 64bit install
## OBM
OBM repository
Create a /etc/yum.repos.d/obm.repo file with the following content :
[obm]
name=obm
baseurl=http://rpm.obm.org/24
enabled=1
gpgcheck=0
Please ensure you have a fully-qualified domain name.
Exemple of something you musn't have :
$ hostname -f
hostname: Name or service not known
If you got this message, it seems that you have a different hostname setup in /etc/hostname and /etc/hosts.
Then use these commands :
yum remove sendmail
yum install obm-PostgreSQL obm obm-funambol obm-solr obm-sync minig-backend minig minig-storage opush
Next you need to configure OBM with the obm-admin script. If you made a mistake just start the script you need (obm-ui, obm-postfix ...)
