Thunderbird connector compatibility with Thunderbird 17 ESR

The OBM team is proud to announce the release of the [**OBM connector 3.2.0.0**](http://www.obm.org/mozilla-addons/obm-connector/stable/tb17/). A new strength gained for this release is the wide range of compatibility. The connector has been tested with **Thunderbird 3**, **Thunderbird 10 ESR** and **Thunderbird 17 ESR**. This version will allow you to easily upgrade to a newer Thunderbird release, allowing you to take advantage of its improvements.

To maximize compatibility and improve the integration between your OBM server and Lightning, it is recommended to use the respective customized version of Lightning.

In addition to the improved compatibility, **OBM connector 3.2.0.0** offers these [new features](http://obm.org/blog/new-features-thunderbird-connector) in comparison with its predecessor:

* **Proactive Synchronization**: Less need for manual synchronization, your calendars are automatically updated at defined events like receiving an invitation email
* **Delay for the initial synchronization**: Allows the initial synchronization to be delayed for some time, computed randomly between 0 and the configured value
* **Automatic removal of notification emails once processed**: A user can now decide to trash (or permanently delete) notification emails as soon as he/she processes them
