Introduction
This article details the preferences that can be set in Mozilla Thunderbird to configure the OBM Connector.
What are Thunderbird preferences
Most of the settings you parameter in a Mozilla application ends up in some sort of registry, that are called the "preferences" are the "options". A registry entry got a type (string, number or boolean), a name, and a value.
To access the registry, open the preferences dialog of your Thunderbird, choose the Advanced tab, the General sub-tab, and then click on Config editor...
OBM connector preferences
Preference name | type | example value | description |
---|---|---|---|
extensions.obm.server | string | https://example.com/obm-sync/services | the URL to the OBM-SYNC handler |
extensions.obm.obmUrl | string | https://example.com/ | the URL to the OBM web interface |
extensions.obm.autoconf.login | string | mmaudet | the OBM login of the user |
extensions.obm.rememberpassword | boolean | true | set to true to have Thunderbird remember your password |
extensions.obm.sso | boolean | true | set to true if you're using OBM's internal, mini-SSO, false if using another SSO, such as LemonLDAP or a CAS server. |
Note: extensions.obm.obmUrl is used when clicking on the OBM agenda and My Account buttons that are added by the connector to the Thunderbird bar.
Those parameters should be enough to start a synchronization.
